Agency Apprentice Program

Location: Chicago, Illinois
The agency apprentice program offers a unique opportunity to learn how an agency works, work with client and choose a career path best suited for the candidate. They are an account or project manager in training learning the basics of managing projects and servicing both a client and internal staff. Overall, the role supports account and project management and is focused on helping to make the work better through professional, thorough communication, making sure internal and client teams have what they need, and researching opportunities including target insights and category knowledge.

  • Manages day-to-day client and internal communications such as ongoing project follow-ups, day-to-day requests, client feedback, maintaining current work-in-progress records and archives of past project information, and contributes to moving a project through the agency =
  • Schedules client meetings and internal meetings
  • Prepares documents such as meeting agendas, meeting notes, status sheets, proposals and other client communications and correspondence
  • Builds decks for internal and client presentations
  • Drafts SOWs for client projects
  • Compiles competitive research and insights gathering data and trends; complining reports for internal and external purposes
  • Continuously maintains and enhances personal understanding of marketing and new technologies, client management and production/development processes
  • Works with manager to create billing spreadsheets, reviews and analyzes “received” AP vs. expected AP via billing spreadsheets
  • Contributes to creative and tactical briefs used to kick-off internal teams
  • Typing, texting, telephone communications, presentation skills, seeing, hearing, sitting, walking, strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • 0-1 year past agency experience
