Media Director

Location: Chicago, Illinois
The Media Director provides leadership to the search/social discipline on strategic oversight on a portfolio of accounts, providing guidance on ways to eliminate threats/grow accounts, and mentorship/development of the search/social discipline.  The Media Director is a strong leader of the team and has earned trust from all department leads/clients.  
  • Understand and stay up-to-date with media technologies, trends, vendors, and best practice
  • Input/Development on best practices that can affect efficiencies within media process
  • Foster relationships across functional areas within a client to build a rapport and deliver intricate solutions
  • Interfaces with other departments to share ideas, communicate service offerings, and to identify and deliver new solutions for clients
  • Ability to help clients with attribution, media mix modeling, and ROI measurement
  • Deliver effective presentations to clients & internal teams
  • Plant seeds or cross sell products and services to grow Fusion92 share of client marketing spend
  • Develop and foster account relationships, working towards 100% account retention within a defined portfolio of accounts
  • Accountable for all search/social planning, development, timeliness, accuracy, and overall excellence
  • Manage tight deadlines and exceed client expectations with attention to detail and immaculate execution
  • Manage expectations of clients and deliverables
  • Participate and present in new business efforts and presentations, where appropriate
  • Lead the process of strategic search/social planning/execution and serve as a resource for search/social media managers for advice and counsel
  • Build trusting, collaborative relationships with clients and vendors at appropriate levels
  • Capable of managing up and down the reporting structure
  • Contribute/Evaluate business development deals with vendors based on partnerships during heavy workload periods
  • 8+ years’ experience working in a paid media function
  • 4 years of demonstrated success in managing and leading people
  • 2-4 years’ experience with a focus on search engines and/or social media
  • BA in media, marketing, or business-related field
  • Experience with search management ad servers (Dart Search strongly preferred)
  • Experience with all social media platform and serving technologies
  • Client service experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and PowerPoint skills
  • Demonstrated strong problem solving and project management skills
