Account Director

The Account Director provides leadership to the account management team in defining marketing objectives, creates the strategic plan for using holistic communications to achieve the client’s objectives, and ultimately drives performance marketing metrics throughout the client’s business. They are the day-to-day account owner. They are responsible for providing strategic leadership and building the accounts. They understand the fundamentals of performance marketing and delivering results and ROI. They act as an advisor for internal and external clients.
  • Acts as primary client advisor for strategic marketing and communications issues
  • Drives insight in to marketing activities daily, weekly, monthly performance guiding the team on opportunities for improvement and growth
  • Draws on deep knowledge of the integrated communications industry and theory to create innovative, comprehensive marketing solutions that build the client’s brands
  • Creates a climate in which people can do their best and develops individuals to help succeed
  • Continuously generates, pursues and produced innovative ideas for improving the client’s and agency’s strategic competitive advantage
  • Gains support/ownership for ideas and projects plans. Persuades clients to explore new ideas move forward on projects
  • Grows revenue and manages account P&L
  • Preservers to achieve agency financial goals and client business objectives; consistently goes beyond expectations and takes initiative
  • Guides career development of AC/AAE/AM/AS
  • 7-10 years past agency experience
  • Prior management experience
  • Excellent client service skills
  • Superb internal and external communication skills
  • Ability to put together a solid presentation (working with teammates)
  • Key contributor during senior client meetings
  • Aptitude to quickly sort information to identify opportunities, alternative approaches, anticipates trends and analyzes connections to create innovative solutions 
  • Team player - dependable, respectful, and communicative
  • Fun and positive attitude
